O’s Notes: This is a live session in Istanbul, Turkey in 1995. No one knew what to expect but the audience eventually warmed up to the blues on “You Got to Lose! Blues guitarist Joe Louis Walker plays electrified lead solos using the bottleneck for precision and liquid tone. His storytelling is world class. The entire band works up a sweat and the Turks are fully engaged on “I Didn’t Know”. “Funkin’ Blues” is the band intro tune and the solos are generous and abundant, the highlight of an energetic performance.
