O’s Notes: We enjoyed Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba’s Viento Y Tiempo (81), a live recording with his childhood friend, vocalist Aymée Nuviola in Tokyo. They performed again on July 31, 2021, Live in Marciac, Occitania, France for this 2022 release. Rubalcaba and Nuviola are a powerful duo that command the attention and engagement of their audience. They perform nine Cuban songs to perfection including “Nada Es Para Ti” written by Nuviola.
