O’s Notes: These are rare recordings of Satchmo live in Switzerland during 1949. Armstrong was the defining voice of jazz not only in America but also around the world during that period. He plays many of his hits in a swinging Dixie fashion. We liked “Body and Soul” and “High Society” best of the fourteen songs.
