O’s Notes: Dave’s quartet is Michael Moore (b), Randy Jones (d), Bobby Militello (sax) and the leader on piano. If you aren’t familiar with Militello, you will be after this performance. He wails on songs like “Unisphere” and “Forty Days”. Of course Dave, is his usual bubbly swinging self on the keys, notably on “Cassandra” and “Mr. Fats” with a nice bass solo by Moore. Collectively, Brubeck continues to stay current with some old, some new, and all fresh songs.
