O’s Notes: Joe McBride (vocals, piano) has a soulful approach that is engaging and appealing to both young and old listeners. His arrangements are fresh but not distant from the heart of the originals. McBride has a jazzy, blues touch with all acoustic instrumentation making the music sophisticated and warm. A prime example is the funky blues of “This Is How A Heart Breaks”. There are twelve enjoyable vocal selections highlighted by “It’s Over Now”, “Crazy”, “Like A Star” and “1000 Miles”.
