O’s Notes: This is a tribute to the late Nat King Cole, one of the greatest romantic balladeers on record. Nat also played homage to our Latin neighbors with three albums sung in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Isaac selected material from these albums as well as a few other Cole classics and resurfaces the romance with a native Spanish perspective. an added bonus is the inclusion of Freddy Cole (Nat’s younger brother) on two selections “Quizás, quizás, quizás” and “Green Eyes” that also feature Ken Peplowski on sax. This is a winning session loaded with warmth.
