O’s Notes: Trombonist Chris Washburne leads The Syotos Band, a unit that’s been grooving for over 23 years! They stir up an Afro-Latin jazz concoction that they term Acid Mambo. It is a series of classic pop and R&B classics infused with a heavy dose of mambo. They make a strong statement opening with “Feelin’ Alright” to set the tone for the rest of the session. “Get Up, Stand Up”, “Kashmir” and “Stairway To Heaven” are highlights.
