O’s Notes: Chicagoan Kevin Cline plays piano, trombone and composed all of the music on Make Up Your Mind except for his exciting cover of “My Funny Valentine” featuring vocalist Isha Maria Lewis. He invites a large cast of musicians to perform with him. The session opens with light bossa nova beats on “After The Rain” and maintains a light, jovial mood throughout the set. We enjoyed “Umbrella, Sunglasses &Gloves” featuring vocalist Paul Zimmerman, the swinging “Shirley Not Forgotten” and “My F” among many good songs.
