O’s Notes: Trumpeter, composer, band leader Kali Rodriguez is one of Cuba’s fine young musicians taking the jazz world by storm. He has great range, speed, feel, and a maturity that allows him to relax and deliver his prowess in absorbable bites. Kali does fine work on “La Historia De Erendira” before vocalist Gina D’Soto adds another dimension on “Drume Mobila” with guest pianist Aruán Ortiz. Percussionist Victor Pablo Garcia adds tasteful accents with drummer Zack O’Farrill notably on “Se Acabó” with guest vocalist Jeremy Bosch.
