O’s Notes: If you like crisp chord melodies, a funky B3 and hot brass accents, this is your ticket. Radam Schwartz plays the B3 and leads his Organ Big Band. Yes, this is a large ensemble with a powerful, full horn section in front of Charlie Sigler (g), David F. Gibson (d) and Schwartz. Even with 10+ horns playing the sound is never congested. The layering is sweet and the solos plentiful in this swinging session. The inspiration for Message From Groove & G.W. is The Gerald Wilson Big Band with Richard “Groove” Holmes. Schwartz nailed it!
