O’s Notes: This quartet is wrapped up in a syncopated, spirited free jazz session. It’s energetic and stimulating. Four of the five songs were written by Fujii (p) while Natsuki Tamura (t) composed “Tatsu Take”. They along with bassist Takeharu Hayakawa and Tatsuya Yoshida (d, vocals) represent one of Japan’s best contemporary groups with a fresh approach to free jazz.
