O’s Notes: The trio is Simon Lott (d), Erik Deutsch (p) and Charlie on the 7-String guitar. Hunter writes all of the music and it has a gentle swagger like our favorite track, “Drop A Dime”. “Balls” moves towards pure rock and roll with a punctuated solo from Simon. Then they move into a spacey funk groove with “Wizard Sleeve” and then “Special Shirt”. But this album is mostly a rock groove.
