O’s Notes: This is a sequel to The highly praised Reel Deal (82) and Music In Film: The Sequel is even better! Pick any of eleven titles and reminisce about the movie! There’s a ton of energy in the “Theme From Pink Panther” including an explosive solo by Baratta. We also enjoyed the peaceful “Pure Imagination”, “Soul Bossa Nova” and “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” featuring guitarist, Paul Hollenbeck. Pianist, arranger Bill O’Connell and Vincent Herring (a-sax) also shine throughout the session.
