O’s Notes: Funk Road is the brainchild of producer and arranger Jerome “Bigfoot” Bailey. Mutiny has pumping bass, funky beats, racy guitars, sharp brass accents and urban lyrics. The goal is to strike a groove that gets you up on the dance floor. They do that in 1970s retro fashion redrafted for today. Among the best are “The Funky Prez” and “Prominade”.
