O’s Notes: The Myth of the Cave is the story of ancient cavemen disillusioned that shadows of life projected into their caves were reality. One of the tribe members discovers reality after escaping the confines of his home. The five titles are about his attempts to share his newfound knowledge and the associated perils. It was written to be performed by bass (Ora Boasson), clarinet (Franois Houle) and piano (Yitzhak Yedid). The five-movement piece extracts all of the passion and emotion of the story.
