O’s Notes: Bassist, composer and bandleader Max Moran revisits the funky style of Bootsy Collins on the opener “All Right” before shifting to Modern Jazz on “Red”. Max picks up the mic for “Summer” on top of a syncopated backdrop. The variation in genre with periodic retro takes continues throughout the set. We were able to engage for most of the music regardless of their direction and found Neospectric to be a good experience.
