O’s Notes: Some of the same clubs that housed great jazz acts were also venues for some of the great blue (meaning X-rated, off-color and adults only) comedians. But this stuff is hilarious if you can get past the frankness and profanity. Jimmy Lynch, ‘the funky tramp’ is one of the best and is a total entertainer. The time period is 1960-70s, the height of Jimmy’s popularity. He sang, danced and told jokes, the latter being his main calling card. 18 of his best are captured in the Cult Collectibles.
