O’s Notes: now….here is Laura’s debut recording and a realization of her dream to make a jazz CD. She sings a dozen songs, a mix of standards with four originals. Her accompaniment comes from two trios of fine musicians including John Proulx (p), Steve Barnes (d) and Jimmy Branly (d). The first song to catch our attention was “Berimbau” including a strong bass solo from Chris Coangelo. We also enjoyed the bouncy swing of “Love You Madly” and “Teresa’s Blues”.
