O’s Notes: One of the master composers and performers on keyboards and vocals from the late 1970s thru the 1990s was George Duke. He put together some of the most tasty riffs and combined them with tight beats and smooth vocals time and time again. He’s back in stride with a sound that is as good today as I ever was. And he brings talent like Airto Moriera, Everette Harp, Gerald Albright, Eric Benet, Rachelle Ferrell and Hubert Laws along with him! It feels just right. It is a sure winner on the contemporary side of our jazz ruler.
