O’s Notes: Gerry’s raspy baritone sax warmed up our Sunday morning listening session. Opening with the calypso feel of “Capricious” and bouncing along with “You’ve Come Home”, Mulligan gives us some gems. The lineup was Gerry, Tommy Flanagan (p), Ben Tucker (b), Dave Bailey (d) and Alec Dorsey (congas). Jeru was the perfect addition to a relaxed day and a notable shift from straight ahead bop.
