O’s Notes: Ben leads his quintet playing vibes. And as you may imagine, the groove is cool jazz. Erik Jekabson (t) and Mitch Marcus (sax) share melodies. They mix it up quite a bit with Mitch pushing the limits on “The Actual” before simmering into the mellow mood of the title track. “Ghost at Infancy” takes us back to that swinging groove and they wrap it with “Sea of Cortez”, a ballad to cap a well-balanced set.
