O’s Notes: Dennis plays flugelhorn and leads a band that flexes between five and nine members. Kenny Barron (p), producer Jason Miles (p), Will Lee (b), Cyro Baptista (perc) and Brian Dunne (d) are among the many talented musicians on the set. Rebecca Angel sings a mellow arrangement of “Tea For Two” with a cool solo from guitarist Romero Lubambo. That is the lone cover in among nine Angel originals. This is an easy-listening smooth jazz set that has well developed substance on many fronts including fine work from the leader and his horn.
