O’s Notes: Vocalist Sharon Sable and pianist Joe Holt form an entertaining duo to perform the music of Blossom Dearie. Sharon’s tone is soft, warm, and especially soothing on “Down With Love” anchored by guest bassist Amy Shook. Joe’s ragtime piano style stands out on “The Surrey With The Fringe On Top”. Other highlights are “Gentleman Friend”, “Boum”, “Tea For Two” and “I Like You, You’re Nice” with Holt on the Rhodes.
