O’s Notes: Pianist Chris Keefe has been performing for years but Opening is our first exposure to him as a leader. He teams up with drummer Adam Nussbaum, and producer, bassist Harvie S. Keefe presents three originals notably “Chobim “ and “Got A Chick”. His opening on “I Fall In Love So Easily” is excellent. We also enjoyed “Dream”. There’s enough air around each of the musicians to enjoy the tonal bloom of their instruments, making this a very pleasurable recording to enjoy.
