O’s Notes: Jeff Denson is a vocalist turned bassist who combines both skills on“Outside My Window. He forms a quartet with Dayna Stephens (sax), Kari Ikonen (keyboards) and Ronen Itzik (d). Half of the eight selections are originals that challenge us to have compassion for one another, an increasingly common plea in today’s caustic political environment. “Grace” was our favorite.
