The combination results in a balanced approach with shared melodies and solos exemplified on tunes like “Night By Night” and “Horntense”. 7 of the 8 selections are originals surrounding a cover of “Lover Man”. Doug reminds us of his prowess on “Blues By Eight” and “Bossa By Eight”.
