The Whaling Sounds of Ricky Ford is focused on the music he played during those associations. Ricky plays many grooves opening with “Ricky’s Bossa”, then calypso beats on “That Red Clay” and “Paris Fringe”, swinging on “Paul’s Scene” for Paul Gonsalves, and adding a taste of romance with “Frustration”.
