O’s Notes: Pianist Lenny Marcus teams up with Rick Eckberg (b), Larry Scott (d) and Vladimir Espinosa (perc) to continue the theme of their Jazz of Beethoven album. Peace For Beethoven was inspired by the master pianist/composer. It includes a few of Lenny’s originals and recreated jazzy takes on the masterpieces. The music is jovial and bubbly. The recreations are a formidable tribute and also solid contemporary jazz.
