O’s Notes: Joey D shares his organ groove with Houston Person (sax), Melvin Sparks (g) and Byron Landham (d) to play some of the tunes Sinatra made famous. The music is good, the band is swinging and while DeFrancesco says this is Sinatra done his way, he can’t resist throwing in a little fatback for soul seasoning. These guys resurrect Frank’s tunes with a fervor. There are nine tracks with varied tempos making a good program.
