O’s Notes: Pianist Taylor Eigsti teams up with a large roster of musicians including guitarists Charles Alture & Julian Lage, drummer Kendrick Scott, a layered string section, and saxophonists Dayna Stephens & Ben Wendel. We liked the heavily syncopated “Bucket Of F’s” featuring Wendel and the strings, “Look Around You” with vocalist Becca Stevens, and “Beyond The Blue” with Gretchen Parlato breathing soft lyrics into the mix. Lisa Fischer is the guest vocalist on “Fire Within” and Terence Blanchard guest-stars on “Light Dream”. “201918” was among the best instrumentals in a very good session.
