O’s Notes: The core of Jazzhole is represented by producer/composers Warren Rosenstein (clavinet), Marlon Saunders (vocals) and John Pondel (g). They share the pen on 80% of the tracks and add two covers, notably “Low Down”. The program reaches from a reflective instrumental title track featuring Pondel to funky vocals like “Jonesing” and cool harmonizing on “One More Time”. Michel Cohen adds vocals to complement Saunders on “Life Is Such A Gift” to round out the set. This is different stuff, original style and fresh arrangements!
