O’s Notes: Sax man Warren Hill has a smooth jazz winner with Popjazz. He mixes a few covers in with his own originals to arrive at a strong program. Guest artists Norman Brown (g), Brian Culberson (B3) and Jeff Golub (g) all spice up the session. The Latin beats of “Low Rider” got our blood percolating followed by “Renewal”, a sure top ten selection. We also liked “Play That Funky Music” and “Low Rider”. This is a delicious serving of smooth jazz.
