O’s Notes: Les opens with the funky title track complete with vocals and a tight beat. His raspy voice adds character to the mix. “I Can’t Stand It” includes Ricky Peterson on the Hammond B3 along with Marcus Miller (b) and John Robinson (d) sparking up a really cool beat. This groove that doesn’t quit! On the softer side, the vocals from Dianne Reeves on “You Just Can’t Smile It Away”, including the harmonizing with Les, is first class. This CD is a rousing reminder of good old R&B.
