Higher Octave, 2003, CD
Jazz Ruler Type: Pop+Jazz
O’s Notes: This contemporary jazz band plays what could be classified as World Jazz. Their music has a Latin tinge with elements of funk, fusion and country, a formula that results in appeal to a broad audience. They infuse the soft vocals of Jo Harrop on “Little Laughter”, which is a nice break in the middle of the session. Other highlights are the peaceful “Turn The Stars On”, the bubbly opener “No Messin'” and the funky “Milo”.
