He’s made countless albums over decades performing what seems like the entire American songbook! We never tire of him and his passionate playing.“Rain or Shine“is his latest endeavor, one tilted towards the soulful, R&B side of jazz. His accompaniment is Lafayette Harris (p), Rodney Jones (g), Warren Vaché (t), Matthew Parrish (b) and Vincent Ector (d). Highlights are “132nd and Madison” with nice harmony from Vaché, “Never Let Me Go” and the title track, just a few in yet another winning set.
