O’s Notes: This is an octet featuring leader and saxophonist Andy Middleton and his band notably Kenny Wheeler (t) and Nils Wogram (tb). They play a rather pleasing session of modern jazz, mainly ballads but with lots of great exchanges between the musicians. It is relaxing music that warrants repeated listening.
