O’s Notes: Deborah Connors (vocals) and Nate Harasim (keyboards, programming) wrote 80% of the songs here giving this set a fresh taste of contemporary urban jazz. They were smart to infuse Mel Brown who adds a deep thumping bass on six tracks notably “Reminisce” and “Still Be Strong”. Maurice Mahon adds vocals on their cover of “Secret Garden”. We also liked “You Are My Everything” with Bob Madsen playing bass and “So Sexy”. The combination of Connors vocals with the pumping bass lines makes this a winner.
