O’s Notes: The New York Voices are Peter Eldridge, Lauren Kinhan, Damon Meader and Kim Nazarian, a vocal quartet that celebrates thirty years together with Reminiscing in Tempo. They select 12 songs, fresh arrangements of classics and a couple of originals notably “The Forecast Is Sunny” with Eldridge also playing piano. We also find Damon playing sax throughout the set! David Finck (b), Marty Ashby (g) and Andy Ezrin (keyboards) are a few of the strong supporting musicians. The rich harmonies take unexpected turns on “Open Your Eyes, You Can Fly” arriving at a rewarding destination. We also enjoyed “It’s Alright With Me”, “Avalon” and “Round, Round, Round”.
