O’s Notes: Kim serves up a delightful blend of earthy, funky R&B-laden jazz that he terms Rhythm & Romance. Yes, there are ample seductive melodies to justify his claim starting with his cover of Janet Jackson’s “No Sleep” featuring Christi Jones (vocals) and Chris “Big Dog” Davis (keyboards, programming)! Most of the rest of the tunes were composed by Waters who also plays all instruments and saxophones with the exception of guitars by David Manley. This is smooth jazz with a sizable dollop of urban groove! Other highlights are “Smoothness”, and the title track.
