O’s Notes: New York based saxophonist, composer, label owner Jon Irabagon leads a quartet with Matt Mitchell (p), Chris Lightcap (b) and Dan Weiss (d). The first track “Sundance” sets the pace for an adventurous session. It’s edgy but not too far gone. “Alliance”, “Bebop” and the experimental title track are notable. Watch out for these guys on tour.
