O’s Notes: Trombonist Joe Fiedler returns with his brass quartet featuring fellow trombonists Ryan Keberle and Luis Bonilla and Marcus Rojas playing tuba. Steven Bernstein makes a guest appearance on three selections notably “Tin Tin Deo”. We appreciated the amount of space between the musicians allowing for an appreciation of individual talents and the expansive soundstage. Fiedler arranged all of the music making Sackbut Stomp a modern brassy journey into the world of jazz that is perfectly suited to Bourbon Street!
