O’s Notes: Umphrey’s McGee is a Contemporary pop band with a lot of pizzazz. There is tight music surrounded by interesting lyrics. The music is new composed mostly by band members Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss. We liked “Words”, “Women, Wine And Song” with Huey Lewis (vocals and harmonica) and “Intentions Clear” with Joshua Redman adding sax. The CD liner notes also have some cool depictions of men grazing like sheep -> Safety In Numbers.
