O’s Notes: Guitarist Tom Dempsey is a fan of the B3 trio inspired by work from Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, George Benson and Jimmy Smith. So he put together a trio with Ron Oswanski (B3) and Alvin Atkinson (d). They split the program 50:50 with covers and originals by Dempsey. They cook on “My Secret Love”, “Back To Back” and “Pat-a-tat-tat”. These are just a few that will delight lovers of the B3/guitar trio.
