O’s Notes: Don’t let the fact that you probably haven’t heard of Andy (tenor sax) allow you to pass by this CD. He’s been playing for over 30 years mainly as a sideman in Europe. He is both a professor and a student of his instrument as reflected in his playing. The notes are precise, yet warm and rich like on “Stardust”. Each member of his quartet contributes to a fine debut, evidence of fine jazz emanating from Europe.
