O’s Notes: Smooth jazz sax veteran Marion Meadows takes a different approach with Secrets, a collection of his usual R&B jazz with some popular vocals. The vocals feature several males singers notably Brian Chartrand who sings on a couple of tunes notably a cover of Bobby McFerrin’s “Friends”. We also enjoyed the cool calypso beats of “Sand Dancers” and “The Shade Tree” featuring Impromp2. Old fans will enjoy “Flirt”, “Here To Stay” and “Let The Top Down” written all or in part by keyboardist Michael Broening. This is a strong showing by Meadows differentiating himself from the smooth sax crowd.
