O’s Notes: Send For Me is a collection of classic throw-back tunes, blues, swing, and ballads. Vocalist Catherine Russell characterizes the music as romance that swings and indeed it does. The refreshing arrangements modernize songs popularized in the late 1920s thru 1960. She shines on the ballads like “In the Night” with pianist Sean Mason and “East of The Sun” featuring guitarist, musical director Matt Munisteri. We also dug “You Stepped Out of A Dream”.
