O’s Notes: Smooth jazz guitarist Norman Brown is back with another solid collection of insatiable tunes. He combines buttery guitar riffs with gentle instrumentals that will smooth the soul. There are a few vocals as well including “Celebrate Me Home” featuring Rochella Brown, Norman’s daughter. Brown displays his prowess in several spots. We enjoyed “Special Moments” a mid tempo ballad with traces of Wes Montgomery, the mellow groove of “Thinking About You” and our favorite “Coming Back”. Nine of the ten songs are new originals and you can catch Norman performing them live this summer, surely a hot act.
