O’s Notes: Composer Dave Morecroft (keyboards, vocals) leads WorldService Project, a quintet with Tim Ower (sax), Raphael Clarkson (tb, vocals), Arther O’Hara (b) and Harry Pope (d). We liked the edgy syncopated funk on “Dai Jo Bo” and “Ease”.“Serve“is more refined than 2016’s“For King & Country“with slightly less rage but still encompassing lots of energy.
