O’s Notes: Kim Waters is the composer, producer and predominant instrumentalist on Silver Soul, his latest smooth jazz creation. Allen Hinds plays all guitars and he gets help from a few vocalists to make it an engaging session. The beats are solid all the way through with a pulsating bottom for the club feel on “Anything You Need” featuring Dana Pope and “Laying Beside Me” with Eric Roberson singing. But the best are the instrumentals “High Stride”, “Go-Go Smooth” and “Cruising Round Rock” in a strong contemporary jazz set.
