O’s Notes: This is a fine swinging quartet led by Vincent (sax) with Mulgrew Miller (p), E.J. Strickland (d) and Richie Goods (b). Walace Rooney (t) makes an appearance on two tracks. The band stays tights as the pace alternates betwen torrid “The Loop” and peaceful like on “Sophia Marie” and”Sophisticated Lady”. It’s a nice mix.
